Duration 
Commencing In the Graduate Certificate of School leadership and Management, you will develop advanced technical and practical knowledge, skills and professional capacities in leadership which are directly contextualised to your educational setting. You will emerge with an authentic Christian worldview integration within your leadership enabling you to confidently move to your next phase of influence.
The Graduate Certificate is fully creditable into the Master of Education (MEd) or Master of Business (MBA) for those aspiring to build upon this study.
Admission Criteria
HIGHER EDUCATION
Teachers: Any recognised initial teacher education qualification and one year of teaching experience
WORK LIFE EXPERIENCE
Non-Teachers: Five years of industry experience which includes at least one year in a school context.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Applicants for whom English is not their first language must provide certified documentary evidence that their secondary schooling, or tertiary studies of at least one year, was conducted in the English language or they have satisfactory results in an acceptable English Language Proficiency examination (see table below). Results are to be no more than two years old as at the commencement of the course of study.

Flexible delivery
The course will be delivered in an online/external mode. Delivery is supported by an integrated Learning Management System (LMS) with modular units, rich in resources, media and interactive elements. Your study journey will be supported by a scaffolded study guide, accessible lecturers including regular online conferencing. Assessment is clearly detailed, usually consisting of two significant or three moderate tasks per unit, where in many incidences your school context can be utilised.

Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management ED41
The Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management comprises three (3) core unit and one (1) elective unit. It is designed to develop students’ foundational knowledge and skills in the fields of school leadership and management by including a broad study into the key elements of school leadership and management.
The core units for the Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management are:
- ED604 Biblical Worldview and Educational Leadership
- ED611 Leadership and Change Management
- ED615 Cultivating Sustainable Christian School Cultures
The elective units (select 1) for the Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and Management are:
- ED616 Corporate Governance for Schools
- ED617 Human Resource Management
- ED618 School Financial Management
Fees & Scholarships
FEES
All courses at CHC have study costs associated with them, and these are determined by whether you are a domestic student or an international student, and whether you are in a fee-paying place or a Commonwealth supported place.
Different payment options are available, and eligible students can access the Commonwealth government’s HELP scheme to defer the payment of their study costs.
