Toni Neil
Bio
Toni began her working life as a secondary school music teacher. A change of direction led her to completing the Master of Counselling and Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Counselling. She has since worked for a number of non-government organisations in Brisbane as a counsellor and family therapist before focusing more intentionally on those who have experienced developmental and complex trauma.
Building on her teaching background, Toni began sessional lecturing at CHC in 2010 before becoming the coordinator of the Master of Counselling program in 2014. She now coordinates both counselling courses and the Graduate Certificate in Applied Neuroscience. She is passionate about mentoring students and developing the person of the practitioner, which is the focus on her current research.
