FAQ Info

What you need to study online

To fully participate in the virtual learning environment, such as engaging with online learning materials, you will need:

  • access to a computer with reliable internet connection
  • a webcam
  • a headset and microphone
  • a learning environment with limited interruptions.

Where substantial computer-based work is required, particularly in the case of fully online students, we recommend you take regular rest breaks and ensure that your workstation is set for optimal comfort, to prevent strain or injury.

Yes, we do have set times for on campus and virtual classes, but we are aware of your needs. Many of our virtual classes are after hours making them available for those studying whilst working. In addition, our smaller class sizes often mean that we chat to students to find out what time works best for them. If you are unable to attend, our virtual classes are recorded so that you can watch them at a time that suits you.

One of the benefits of studying online is the online community which is growing every day. Connection is often key to a successful online study experience. Our courses facilitate connection, through regular communication, online forums and virtual classes, taking into consideration student to lecture, lecturer to student and peer to peer connections. You’ll become a part of a thriving online community.

We use a range of industry leading platforms to assist you with learning online. These include:

  • Moodle (our learning management system)
  • Zoom and/or Teams (for virtual classes)
  • Articulate 360 Rise and Storyline (for content presentation)

If you live outside of Australia, then online learning is the way to go. Many of our courses are entirely online. They have no campus-based components, and the online learning activities and resources are the main focus of study.
