CHC’s School of Social Sciences seeks to understand the forces that drive modern society.

This journey of discovery allows us to make positive and significant changes not only to ourselves but the broader community.

Understanding the needs of people from a godly perspective and bringing into line our stance on compassionate care and social justice is imperative to bring healing to a broken world.

CHC graduates in the Social Sciences enjoy fulfilling careers across a broad range of industries, including government organisations, not-for-profits and private industry.

School of Social Sciences courses are:

  • accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and appear on the National Register of Higher Education Providers.
  • approved for offering to overseas students and appear on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) (except the Graduate Certificate courses).
  • Counselling courses are accredited by Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
  • Bachelor of Human Services Course is accredited by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA)
  • approved for FEE-HELP, Youth Allowance/Abstudy and Austudy (eligibility requirements apply).

Graduates of the program receive ‘Certified Member’ level of the IAAN (The International Association of Applied Neuroscience).

The best way to learn about helping people is to interact with them.  Small classes, regular engagement with lecturers and stimulating practicums are the lynchpin of all CHC Social Sciences courses.

“It’s the difference I see in people’s lives that inspires me”
