Colin’s ministry life began in 1978 as a Youth and Community Worker with The Salvation Army in western Sydney. In the following year he entered The Salvation Army Training College in preparation for Officership. He was ordained in 1981 and following his marriage to Sharon, proceeded to serve in Corps (church) leadership and planting for ten years. During this time Colin completed his DipMin (ministry) and ADipA (classical piano).

Following this period, Colin began in various leadership and planting roles for the Baptist Union of Queensland until 2005. During this period, Colin completed his BMin and Graduated Certificate and Advanced Diploma in preparation for his ordination as a Baptist minister in 1997.

Since this time, he has served as the CEO at the Pines Training Centre (2006 -2011) and Senior Lecturer at Christian Heritage College  (2011-2015) and then Mission to Queensland leader for the Baptist Union of Queensland from 2015-2023 (the Church Planting arm of the Union). In 2014 he began a consultancy service for Churches, Denominations, Schools and not-for-profits related to the extension of the Kingdom of God. During this time he completed a MA(Theology), an MEDR (ACU) research thesis on Church planting and a PhD (Sydney) thesis also related to Church planting.

He has also released a compilation of 39 songs of worship in three song cycles – Deeper, Higher and Wider in 2014. And will be releasing a new book based on his thesis in late 2024 entitled ‘The genius in the Kingdom: how discipleship impacts Church planting.’

In addition to preaching, teaching and leading workshops around Australia, he has also conducted training for leaders in Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia.

Colin serves on the national Boards of ICEJ (International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem) and NAYBA Australia. He is also a member of the Qld and Australian Prophetic Councils.

He is continuing in his consulting and teaching work and his focus is on the development of young leaders for the work of the Kingdom in Australia.
