GENERAL INFORMATION

The Graduate Certificate in Management is a one-year course, and is available on both a full time and part time basis.

The Graduate Certificate in Management emphasises strategic management from a Christian worldview and develops the knowledge base, intellectual processes and affective qualities required by a professional manager. Management is seen as providing a conceptual paradigm for business activity in that all thought and action are related to the central tasks of managing and decision-making. Management thus forms an integrating concept within the course, with all areas of study relating to the contexts of management, management tools and information, and management of specific dimensions of business activity. The course is especially relevant to managers of profit and not-for-profit organisations who need to gain management expertise, and for people in business seeking Christian input to do ministry in their business sphere.

The Graduate Certificate in Management is delivered via a concentrated model, where students undertake one unit per study period of six weeks.

The maximum time allowed for the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Management is 3 years. Extensions beyond this time may be approved where extenuating circumstances exist.

Students who enrol in subsequent study periods will complete the Graduate Certificate in Management in four study periods
