Bio

Col Davies is a retired secondary teacher with over 20 years experience in Physics and Maths teaching. Initial training was in exploration geophysics working in Central Australia and southern Africa. Later training in theology and linguistics led the family to move to Ghana, West Africa to work for 10 years with the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation, primarily in the management of a large-scale vernacular literacy program. On returning to Australia, Col taught for over 20 years at the MacGregor State High School in Brisbane where he was in charge of the Physics Program and Head of Department for Student Data. Now retired, Col enjoys cycle touring around South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales and has made several cycling trips in Europe across the Alps and Pyrenees.
