Bio

Dr Monique White is a Higher Education Fellow, Lecturer for Christian Heritage College and a Senior Learning Designer/ Education Developer with the Central Queensland University Learning Design and Innovation team. Before commencing her tertiary education career in 2017, Monique lead various teams and taught Health and Nutrition, Physical Education and Hospitality in private sector secondary schools for over 25 years. She was instrumental in transitioning Year 7 from primary to secondary and leading the Year 7 team for nearly a decade. Monique is a trained rehabilitation officer and has worked alongside homeless teenagers while volunteering in Melbourne correctional centres for several years.

Through personal experience and many hours spent as a volunteer counsellor, Monique was motivated to seek more informed strategies to assist young people in understanding their God-given ability to improve their mental well-being. Recent neuroscientific breakthroughs and her previous knowledge in education and psychology inspired her to develop a Neuroeducation Buoyancy Program based on Christian principles to improve people’s everyday resilience.

Passionate to fully understand the program’s effectiveness, Monique has based her PhD studies on ascertaining the program’s influence and effectiveness on adolescent buoyancy. Before developing the program, Monique had written several post-graduate courses and played a primary role in developing a Masters in Educational Neuroscience for Central Queensland University. She has also developed several online Educational Neuroscience programs completed by more than 50,000 people globally.

Monique is married with three adult daughters. She enjoys keeping fit and participating in various volunteer social development work in underprivileged parts of the world in her spare time.
