Bio

Jen is a sessional lecturer at Christian Heritage College, with over 28 years of experience in primary and secondary education. Her career began in primary classrooms but soon included secondary subjects such as PD/H/PE, Maths, Science, and Hospitality. Jen has served as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) Coordinator and has taught in schools across Australia, in the United States and had consulting experiences in Vietnam.

With a Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice, Jen is a career counselor who supports senior students and adults in their academic and professional pathways. She is currently completing a Master of Education (Innovative Learning Design).

Jen is committed to creating engaging, inclusive learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential. She has extensive experience mentoring pre-service and new teachers and is dedicated to improving assessment and reporting practices to ease teacher workloads and inform their future teaching practices. Passionate about teacher wellbeing, Jen advocates for developing supportive practices that foster professional growth, effectiveness and positive environments.
