Bio

I am a counsellor in private practice, having moved from Sydney to Brisbane at the end of last year where I was full time Senior Lecturer in the School of Counselling at Excelsia College.

Bio and Personal Info/Interests:

My undergrad is in Primary Teaching to which I have added a Masters in Counselling as well as several certificates in various counselling modalities. I am currently a full time PhD candidate exploring the impact of trauma on missionaries. I have extensive industry experience having worked with children, adolescents, adults and couples in private practice, as a school counsellor and in agencies. I love to work with expressive therapies, but am psychodynamically and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy trained. I am currently on the PACFA Professional Conduct Panel and the QLD CCAA committee.  I was Ethics chair of NSW CCAA before moving to QLD.

I have 5 grandchildren all under the age of 6. That means I love to play with LEGO and hang out in parks and anywhere near water.  My husband has used this current season to build me a garden which brings me an enormous amount of joy.

Personal Testimony:

Jesus invited me to follow Him when I was 16. I have had the privilege of serving in all kinds of church based ministries over the years and more recently have been involved in trafficking and child soldier work in Asia.
