No change to FEE-HELP arrangements for CHC and CMC students

Students at Brisbane’s Christian Heritage College (CHC), including those studying at Citipointe Ministry College (CMC), will be unaffected by recently announced changes to student loan funding.

Responding to changes announced by Federal Education and Training Minister, Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, CHC President Professor Darren Iselin assured current and potential students that all courses in ministry, counselling, chaplaincy, youth work and liberal arts will continue to be eligible for FEE-HELP.

“As a fully accredited, Higher Education Provider, CHC participates in the Commonwealth Government’s FEE-HELP program,” said Professor Iselin. “This is a separate program to the VET-FEE-HELP program, which has been reviewed by Minister Birmingham. CHC has never been part of VET-FEE-HELP as we are not a VET provider.”

“We are delighted to reassure our students, and those who would choose to study at CHC, that our Diploma courses in Ministry, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts are eligible for FEE-HELP.”

CHC offers over 25 accredited courses at Diploma, Bachelor and Masters level and has graduated over 2,500 students since it opened in 1986. It offers courses in five academic areas – Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Ministries and Social Sciences.
